The GT Neo 2 is Realme's newest flagship phone,
which is now available in India. It's similar to the amazing Realme GT that
arrived in Europe a few months ago - better in some areas, but weaker in
others. At the same event, Realme unveiled a 4K Smart TV Google Stick, Bluetooth
Speaker, and gaming accessories.
In terms of specifications, the new Realme GT Neo 2
has a 6.62-inch E4 display with Full-HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and
1,300 nits of peak brightness, which is greater than the previous model. HDR10+
content, DC dimming, and a touch sampling rate of 600Hz are also supported. The
new vapor cooling system on the GT Neo 2 is 30 percent larger and 20% more
efficient, according to Realme, and it uses stainless steel and copper. The
battery is also larger than the GT's, at 5,000mAh (up from 4,500mAh), and the
GT Neo 2 retains Realme's 65W SuperDart rapid charging technology. According to
Realme, charging from 0 to 100% will take 36 minutes. Although 5G networks have
yet to be implemented in India, the phone does have 5G connectivity.
The GT Neo 2 is powered by an 870 SoC with up to
12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, as compared to the GT's Snapdragon 888
chipset. This is essentially a faster version of Qualcomm's 865 Plus, which was
already a faster version of last year's flagship chip — the primary core now
runs at 3.2GHz. Realme has also added a dynamic RAM expansion option of up to
7GB to facilitate multitasking by increasing RAM capacity by utilizing internal
storage.
A 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide
camera, and a 2-megapixel macro lens are included in the triple camera system,
just like the GT. Realme is promoting the GT Neo 2's Street Photography mode,
which is said to improve shutter speed and focus performance while also
incorporating film emulation filters.
In India, the Realme GT Neo 2 will be available
later this week. A variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs Rs.
31,999 ($425), while a 12GB/256GB version costs Rs. 35,999 ($475).
